tony farmer

summary: tony farmer was sentenced to 3 years in jail. however, instead of being in the judges court, he could of been in a basketball court. he was an 18 year old famous basketball player. he chose the wrong by kidnapping, robbing, and so on. Now he will be spending 3 years in jail.

reflection: i believe you are entitled to do what you want in your life. others should not be judged. however if you choose the wrong unfortunately you will be the center of attention. and that is not for the good it is for the bad and disgusting things you have done. i would have thought about my future if i were him. he could of been playing on the NBA but now hes just in JAIL.

Marion jones
Summary: Marion Jones is an Olympian winner. She won 5 medals in the Olympics, 2 bronze and 3 gold. However, she used drugs when she won the medals. That caused her to go to court. She was stripped of her medals and sentenced to 6 months in jail.

Reflection: I believe if she was a good person she should have confessed. She lied to herself and to others. That was the most disturbing part of this story. She chose the wrong by doing these drugs and by not telling the truth. She deserved to get stripped of her medals but jail? I think that’s a little bit too much.

summary: a couple had kidnapped a young girl. for 6 years the girl was allowed to go to school. but after that she had to go straight to the bathroom. the bathroom? yes.... The parents were charged with child abduction and child endanger.
reflection: i believe you get what you deserve. and those "Parents" deserved it. who would do such a thing? it is disturbing and completely wrong. Poor little girl, is what kept going throguh my mind. having nothing to do but be in the restroom. They chose the wrong and they are going to pay for it.

summary& reflection

summary: A man in the 30's or 40's stole money from the downtown Seattle sears. he has to live with the guilt for 60 years. then he finally had to confess. he went to the same sears 60 years later and payed the sears the amount he stole and interest.

Reflection: I believe all of this could of been prevented. He chose the wrong and he had to live with the guilt all his lifetime. he suffered and payed the price. although, he did choose the right by returning the money. he still chose the wrong by stealing it in the first place. i believe that i am not capable of stealing because my parents have taught me that if i want something that i must work for it.

Deb and Jenna
Summary & reflection:
Jenna won the Sportsmanship award from the U.S Olympic Committee. Jenna helped Deb cross the finish line by pushing and pulling her to the finish line. What had happened to Deb is she was running in front of Jenna all the 3 miles they had been running, and all of a sudden she stopped. She stopped because Deb had a broken hip and the pain was killing her so she could not keep running. Therefore Jenna the good person she is pushed deb to finish because she knew that Deb was going to win and she wanted to make that reality happen. Jenna pushed deb in front of her so she knew Deb would win.

Reflection: I believe that most people I know would not do anything like this. Good sportsmanship was shown by Jenna and she got rewarded. It’s incredible how Jenna was this kind. She chose the right

reflection and summary 01-23-`3

summary: Jackie McConnell was a man who was well known to train horses. he would train them to do fabulous tricks. Those horses would probably win first place. However, many people don't know what Jackie McConnell actually did. He would beat the horses, he would burn them  hit them, poke them, and torture them just to get a first place ribbon.
Reflection:  I didn't even know a person was capable to hurt such a lovely animal. The way you see McConnell in the video was so disturbing. He should be put in jail for animal cruelty. I have a girl dog and i would be so hurt if anything happened to her. This was just so disturbing to watch.

link to Kimani
Kimani Hunt Summary and reflection 11-15—12

Summary:  This is about a young man who has achieved his goal and is still making goals for himself. Kamani is his name. he went to a community college. Later he was recruited by a basketball recruiter. He now plays basketball in University of Northwestern Ohio. Besides his athletic accomplishments, he has done a great job in school work.

Reflection: I believe Kamani is a well-respected man. He has taught so many people that accomplishments and goals can be achieved. He is a role model to many people because besides him being all into sports he is “all into School work”

California Schoolgirl is killed in a School Fight Summary and Reflection:

Summary: This article is about 2 little girls who were the same age and grade. Both of them decided they would “Get down” in an alley. Why? This was because both little 10 year olds were going to fight for a boy. After the fight, they returned to what they always do. one of the little girls was taken to the hospital. She had to have surgery in her brain because she had a blood clot in her brain. She was still alive, when all of a sudden her heart stop, they could no longer bring her back to live. She was dead because of a fight over a boy.

Reflection: I actually have heard about this in the news. When I first saw it in the news my reaction was very surprised. I couldn’t believe that an innocent 10 year old had died due to a fight. However, later on as I read I found out that she wasn’t as innocent as I though. Both little girls had agreed to this. This must be very hard for her parents and family and friends. However the one who is going to be dealing with this guilt all their live is going to be the little girl who murdered her. I feel sympathy for her parents the most.

Shooting in Arizona

Summary: In this article the police and random people were involved. This took place in Arizona in a nightclub. The police actually had to arrest someone. Why? Because a man ended up shooting someone at the nightclub. 14 people were injured. Hundreds of people tried to leave the night club but couldn’t.

Reflection: I believe that it’s ok for people to have fun and enjoy themselves by going to nightclubs. However, if there is not enough security or feel as if the nightclub isn’t safe enough don’t go. This must have been awful to experience. I mean the people are going to be traumatized. I believe that the one who brought the gun and shot people should be arrested and put to jail for a very long time. Why because he chose the wrong and choosing the wrong leads you to nowhere.

summary + reflection 11-1-12

Summary: this article was about 2 young men who chose the wrong. These 2 young men were from Purdue University. They chose the wrong by being at a bar at 3 am. they were too drunk and causing trouble so they were asked to leave. When they came back one of them Kelsey Barlow, was angry and made more disturbance. Kelsey Barlow was then kicked out the team and the 2nd guy D.J Byrd was suspended.

Reflection: I believe that these 2 young men chose the wrong. If I were the main person who ran then school I would of kicked them out. Why because, what kind of person throws away all they have just for some alcohol or beer? I know better, if you’re in college and playing basketball you’re going to be successful, so that was the dumb mistake those two men did.  dropbox link
